Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining my family for a Festive Afternoon Tea at The Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth, Hampshire. It was my first ever visit to an Afternoon Tea so I was quite looking forward to experiencing all the treats on offer!
Despite it being quiet, it was a lovely chance for me to spend some quality time with my family – even though I did do that during Christmas, but having returned to work this week, I wanted to make the most of the time I have with them – especially if I am hoping to move out soon.
After walking into the hotel, we were greeted at the reception and had our coats taken to the cloakroom. Once there, we were then taken to our table which was in the Lumley Room. The table was laid out perfectly and included crackers. Festive music was playing in the background which added to the atmosphere. It felt like Christmas Day all over again!

It was very quaint and a perfect way to celebrate the festive season with your family or friends. It was lovely enjoying the tea and being treated to the optional extra of the special Warm Winter Apple Pimms (or Mulled Wine – the choice is yours!) There was a great selection of sandwiches and sweet treats to choose from.
I really loved the chocolate fondue, even if it was extremely rich. You can’t really beat dipping strawberries into warm melted chocolate! Out of all the food on offer, I really enjoyed the Turkey and Apricot Stuffing and the Lemon Drizzle Cake from the sweet tray.
Costing a total of £19.99 per person, it is great value for money. There is a £5 deposit per person when booking, and is available between 2pm and 5pm. On this particular day, it was available from 3pm to 5.30pm. We did not feel rushed with our servings, giving us plenty of time to chat with each other and eat our delicious treats. Don’t hesitate to ask for a top up of the tea, they will accommodate this for you!
The Brookfield Hotel is a glorious venue with beautiful gardens, it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Thank you for a fabulous time! If you want to find out more about The Brookfield Hotel, head on over to their website here.
That’s all for now.
